Week of January 1, 2024 Update Happy New Year Everyone! Here is the first update of 2024: 🍾The zkEVM Bootcamp is being completed this coming week by idexo Founder Greg Marlin. Topics in this bootcamp included: Optimistic vs ZK Rollups, SNARKS vs STARKS, guest lectures by people from zkSync, Arbitrum, Scroll, Aztec and more, coding Zero Knowledge Proof Systems in Rust, how to build and manage a zkEVM set-up, including Transaction Sequencing, Proving Systems, Batch Transaction Commits, Data Availability, and L1 and L2 bridge, the zkSync zkEVM set-up, including the new Boojum Prover, L3s and Hyperchains, and more. This was a six-week bootcamp that started in November. 🍾This knowledge is being applied immediately to building the idexo Layer 3 network, replicating the zkSync L2 set-up and treating the L2 as an L1, including a trustless and permissionless bridge between zkSync’s L2 and idexo’s L3, i.e. a replica of the zkSync L2 and Ethereum L1 bridge. Look for more details on the progress of this build-out over the coming weeks leading up to testnet launch on Feb 14, 2024. 🍾Group comments continue to be locked for the holiday season and will be re-enabled on January 8th. Wishing you all the best for 2024!
